The challenge

Deliver a new online presence that connects both local and global communities with the profound power of music.

Founded by Ayrshire’s own Sir James MacMillan CBE, The Cumnock Tryst is a contemporary music festival that aims to bring people together and have a deep, lasting impact on the local community.

With the main programme of events taking place in October every year, the Tryst brings professional classical musicians to Ayrshire as a true ‘meeting place for music’.

David at the Tryst came to us looking for a new site that would elevate their online presence. Classical music has a (totally incorrect) reputation of being slightly stuffy or behind the times – it was over to us to change this for the Tryst.

The solution

An engaging site that brings classical music firmly into the modern age.

Broadening access to music in and around Ayrshire is an ongoing task that
requires a fresh approach that prioritises engaging new ideas, whilst ensuring there’s an ongoing respect for the classical music that’s at the core of the
Tryst’s mission.

Our job was to then translate this into a site that would elevate the Tryst’s online presence whilst staying true to its roots.

This meant ensuring information was presented in a way that made sense without overwhelming the user. From accordions to keep things clean, to cleanly contrasting font choices to maintain the Vive brand feel throughout, users can quickly and easily find the information they need before hitting the all-important ‘Book’ button.

The results

A new site that's elegant, efficient and effective.

A clean, calming online presence establishes the experience clients can expect at their treatment before they set foot in the clinic.

We set them up with profiles across the Google Suite to ensure Analytics, Tag Manager and Search Console are firing successfully and ready to support their new venture as their digital marketing efforts build.

With the new site live, we’re now working with the Vermilion team on their next big project (details coming soon!) as they continue to grow in Scotland’s thriving healthcare scene.

This makes me SO happy!! A big tick off the list! Thank you again for everything! Can’t wait to get it in the real world now.
