The challenge

Create an opulent, luxurious web presence to showcase Blairquhan's exclusive-use venue.

With an impressive legacy dating back to 1346, Blairquhan Castle is a staple in the Ayrshire landscape that’s continued to grow and diversify over the years.

Their site’s outdated design and lack of strategy didn’t successfully showcase the experience on offer at Blairquhan, so it was up to us to create something truly exceptional.

Before kicking off any website redesign project, we first must prioritise strategy and structure. 

But what does that actually mean? 

The specifics can vary for every project, but one priority that never wavers is the user.

We take time to sit down and think about who’s visiting the site, what information they’re looking for and what a successful conversion looks like – both to them and to Blairquhan.

Blairquhan’s clients include guests hiring the castle exclusively, couples hosting a picturesque wedding and families booking an escape at one of their renovated cottages. This meant ensuring key journeys for each of these user types are as clear as possible, with key navigation touchpoints featured organically throughout the site.

The results

A new site that's elegant, efficient and effective.

A custom WordPress build allows for integration with Blairquhan’s offsite booking platform – as well as a user-friendly CMS with flexibility for future updates.

We set them up with profiles across the Google Suite to ensure Analytics, Tag Manager and Search Console are firing successfully and ready to support the next steps of Blairquhan’s digital marketing journey.

With the new site live, Blairquhan’s luxury castle and cottages finally have a web presence that aligns with the experience offered to guests. Think luxury, opulence and true escapism.
