Managing a website project

Are you on the fence about a new website and unsure of what the process looks like?

We get it.

Unless you’re in the industry, the idea of building a new website from scratch can be a little intimidating.

So we’re pulling together our process to share how Scoot approaches a new website project, meaning you’ll know what to expect if you decide to work with us to elevate your brand’s online presence.

Step 1 – The kick-off

To get things started, we’ll lead a kick-off meeting to understand your website goals.

This is a fact-finding mission for our team. We’ll work to get to the bottom of who you are, what problems you solve for your clients, and what sets you apart from your competitors.

We’ll ask lots of questions to drive discussions so our team fully understands your requirements and pain points.

As the first step in your website journey, it’s important to take time to understand the ‘why’ behind what you’re doing and the goals you have in mind.

We’ll chat about your current site, any issues you have with it, and what you’re looking for from your new site.

Step 2 – The strategy

Following your project kick-off, our team will get to work to pull everything together to allow us to move things forward.

This will include your Statement of Work, your Project Plans, and briefing the rest of the Scoot team on what steps we’ll be taking in order to meet your goals.

The most important aspect of any website is the user, so we’ll dedicate time to ensure your website’s navigation, internal links and CTAs are shaped to direct different user types through predefined paths which are most likely to lead to a conversion – whether than be an enquiry, a purchase or a document download.

Step 3 – The sign-off

We believe in keeping things simple and jargon-free.

That means that we’ll be with you every step of the way to make sure everything we’re working on is exactly what you’re looking for. No tech talk required.

Before we begin the design stage of your new site, we’ll share our findings and recommendations with you. This gives you and your team a chance to check these over and make sure you’re happy with the steps we’ll be taking before we start working on any project visuals.

We want your website journey to be an exciting one. Our team will become an extended part of your business and we promise to be just as passionate as you are about the success of your new site.
